This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.
The F-14A Tomcat made its first flight in 1970, and was first deplyed in 1973; it was retired in 2006. This one bears the markings of the U.S. Navy’s VF-143 Squadron, the legendary Pukin’ Dogs! It will be approximately 26.6cm long when assembled, with a wingspan of 28.5cm (with the variable wings opened); it’s molded in color so painting is not required (although, as with just about any model kit, some paint will really help bring it to life).
