The Sukhoi Su-33 Flanker-D is an all-weather carrier-based air defense fighter designed by Sukhoi and manufactured by KnAAPO. It is a deriviative of the Su-27 “Flanker” and was initially known as the Su-27K. The aircraft was first used in operations in 1995, aboard the carrier Admiral Kuznetsov. It officially entered service in August 1988, by which time the designation “Su-33” was used. Following the breakup of the U.S.S.R. and the subsequent downsizing of the Russian Navy, only 24 aircraft were produced.
Molded in gray and clear plastic; includes decals, photo-etched parts and 3 figures. 30.4cm long with a wingspan of 20.5cm when completed; more than 310 parts.
