1/72 SOC-3 Seagull Battleship Observation Squadron (2-Kit Set)

This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.

From the manufacturer:

The original version of the SOC Seagull made its maiden flight as the XOC-1 in April 1934. A later development flew under the nomenclature XSOC-1, and it was this version that was first deployed with active units as the SOC-1 in November 1935. First seeing service as seaplanes operating from light cruisers, heavy cruisers, battleships and seaplane tenders, a later, wheeled version of the Seagull was produced which could operate from carriers and land bases. The main wings of the Seagull could be folded backwards for onboard storage, and it was armed with two 7.62mm machine guns, one forward-firing mounted on the cowling and the other firing from the rear cockpit on a swivel mount. One 45kg bomb could be carried under each wing.
