The H8K2 boasted many advantages over the H8K1, notably Mitsubishi MK4Q engines and an upgraded tail gun turret. Later versions substituted search radar for side gun blisters. Artist Leiji Matsumoto used this unique aircraft as the cornerstone for his manga, “Kawanishi H8K Not Go Back Again,” which flew off the shelves in his native Japan. This limited edition kit features one marking option, based on Leiji Matsumoto’s “Kawanishi H8K Not Go Back Again” battlefield manga.
Parts come molded in grey and clear. Decals included.
