The Bucker Bu181 Bestman is a one-shot trainer produced by the German aircraft manufacturer Bucker starting in 1940. Its engine is an air-cooled four-cylinder 105-horsepower engine made by Hilt. A steel pipe frame structure was used for the fuselage cabin, and a wooden outer structure was also used. In addition, a wooden frame and upholstered structure were adopted for the rudder and ailerons. It was used as a primary trainer by the German Air Force in World War II, and was also used around the world after the war. Zlin in Czechoslovakia and Heliopolis in Egypt were licensed producers; the aircraft produced by Heliopolis were equipped with Continental’s C-145 engine and were used as primary training aircraft for the Egyptian Air Force.
This model kit of the Gomhouria features the aircraft’s distinct shape and the texture of the wooden exterior; the cockpit is reproduced in detail with seats and instrument panels. Transparent canopy parts are included, and the door can be assembled opened or closed. Decals for three versions are included. Order yours today!
