1/72 Focke-Wulf Ta154A-1 “Day Fighter”

This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.

Limited-release variation of Hasegawa’s Ta154 kit. Surface detail is beautiful even in this smaller scale, and the cockpit looks adequate (instrument decals provided). Tires are rendered with flat sides.

The Ta154 “Moskito,” like the British plane with a similar name, was of mostly wooden construction and primarily slated to be a night fighter. However, wartime setbacks, primarily the bombing of the factory that produced the glue that was to be used to hold it together, resulted in its never seeing mass production.
