The Blohm Voss BV 155B-1 Luftwaffe 46 High Altitude Fighter was intended to be the counter to USAAF B-29 Superfortresses air raids. Initially designed by Messerschmitt in 1942, the 155 went through an extended development period where the design ownership was changed over to Blohm & Voss. There were only a few prototypes of the BV 155 being tested when WWII came to an end. Many armament options were proposed for the 155B including a nose-mounted MK 108 30mm cannon and two wing-mounted MG 151 20mm cannons.
