This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.
Tamiya has re-issued their old Bell X-1 kit (originally acquired from another Japanese firm years ago) for the first time in nearly a decade. However, the mold has been cleaned up beautifully, and you’d swear you were looking at brand-new tooling when you see it in the box!
Kit includes transparent fuselage parts and interior engine detail so you can build a fully, or semi see-through model if you wish. Comes with display stand and ballast for use when you display it on its gear. An excellent kit for this price.
