The F-100 Super Sabre made its debut in 1953 as the world’s first practical supersonic fighter. Being the first aircraft in the Century series, the F-100D Super Sabre worked as the main fighter since late 1950’s, and the last aircraft retired from Conneticut ANG in 1979 after its long term service. The famous U.S.A.F. aerobatic team “Thunderbirds” flew the F-100 for 13 years.
