1/48 S2F Grumman S-2E /S-2G Tracker

Description

This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.

An all-new kit of the Grumman Tracker. This models represents the S2F-3, or S-2E (depending on timeframe) long-fuselage version, later upgraded to S-2G configuration. However for those so inclined (and no fear of razon saws) it could be converted into the earlier S2F-1 (late production variant) relatively easily by shortening the fuselage, wingtips and elevators. Parts are included (but marked “not for use”) for the rooftop pod and nacelle ends required for the S2F-1. Wings can be built folded or extended, the weapons bay can be built with the doors open, the radar can be built extended or retracted (look for the alternate mounting points, the instructions are not clear on this option) as can the MAD boom (install before gluing the fuselage halves together!). Torpedos and rocket pods are included. Decals are for an S-2E of VS-37 and are printed by Cartograf.
