The Mitsubishi F-2A is an improved F-16. These multi-role fighters have significant air-to-air, air-to-ground and air-to-sea capabilities, making them ideal for the JASDF. High top speeds give them nearly as much performance as contemporary dedicated air superiority fighters. Its multi-role ability allows it to act as a force multiplier for ground, air and sea forces. Just under 100 were jointly produced by the US and Japan and they are still the main fighter of the JASDF. Limited edition kit features new photo-etched parts and three sets of JASDF decals.
