1/48 JASDF KV-107II-5 50th Anniversary

This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.

Academy follows up their well-received CH-46 release with a new version with parts to build the Japanese-produced KV-107. The large sponsons set this version apart from the US CH-46. The type is commonly used as a search and rescue helicopter, and the decals reflect this with markings for two aircraft from the Hamamatsu Air rescue Squadron. Both are quite colorful, with the “stock” scheme shown in the photos below, while the boxtop shows the even more colorful scheme applied to commemorate the JASDF’s 50th Anniversary. This kit will make for a real head-turner, especially parked next to Academy’s CH-46!
