This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
From the manufacturer description:
The Fokker EV, the fifth monoplane of Fokker, was designed as a candidate for the new fighter competition scheduled to be held in mid 1918. Fokker had already spent more than two years in development of all plywood-covered fully-cantilevered wing.
The prototype V28 was selected in the competition for the best rotary-engined plane, and the first production batch was delivered to Jasta 6 for combat evaluation. Two pilots were killed in the accidents due to wing failure caused by internal corrosion and improper assembly in the factory. Fokker solved the problem with the improved wing having more strength and anti-corrosion coating. The EV was then redesignated DVIII after receiving this improved wing. The Fokker DVIII showed better performance in the next competition than any other competitor including the rotary-engined Siemens-Schuckert and even the Fokker DVII powered by a BMW inline engine. The DVIII was later called “The Flying Razor” or “The Ultimate World War I Fighter”.
Parts come molded in gray. Includes photo-etched parts and decals.
