1/48 Caproni-Vizzola F.6M Prototype Early Configuration

Description

This is a resin-cast aircraft kit.

We will start handling Vespa model kits from Peru.

The first product is a 1/48 scale full resin kit.

This product is a 1/48 scale licensed production of the 1/72 scale Caproni Vizzola F.6 by Vespa, a Hungarian SBS model company.

It comes with transparent resin canopy parts, etched parts, and high-strength resin landing gear.

The Caproni Vizzola F.6 is a prototype fighter designed and built by the Italian company Caproni.

The F.6 was designed and built by Caproni to replace the F.5’s air-cooled star-shaped engine with the German-made DB-605A water-cooled inverted V-12, and the fuselage was fitted with metal wings instead of the wooden ones that had been used on the F.5.

Named the F.6M (“F” stands for Fabrizi, the designer of the F.5, and “M” for Metallico), the new aircraft was to be equipped with four 12.7mm Breda SAFAT machine guns.

The F.6M, which first flew in 1941, had a deep radiator cover under the nose, but it was later moved under the fuselage because it created very large aerodynamic drag.
