Long before America entered World War II, the Spitfire Mk. II was already fighting the Nazis. It’s combination of improved propeller, more powerful engine and better pilot armor gave Britain’s defenders a better chance against advanced German fighters. Though many other types were to come, it was the Mk I and II that broke the Luftwaffe in the crucial days during and just after the Battle of Britain. Nearly one thousand were produced in a shadow factory at Castle Bromwich. This kit features detailed parts and period markings.

Features new mould, textured surfaces with finely engraved panel joints, detailed Mk.IIa wings wit MG openings, detailed cockpit and instrument panel, separate cockpit ribbing, detailed seat suspension, detailed foot-pedal control runs, separate cockpit door, detailed radiator, rotating propeller, detailed exhaust system, detailed undercarriage and separate cockpit glazing.

Includes decal set for 2 RAF versions and a multilingual instruction sheet. Completed model measures about 28cm long and the wing span about 35cm long.
