Adversity crushes some men; others, it makes soar. Sir Douglas Bader was of the rarer, latter sort. He lost his father to WWI. He lost both his legs to a flying accident in ’31. By 1939, he was back in the cockpit. His actions in the Battle of Britain made him a hero. He was shot down over France in 1941, but still refused to give up. His multiple escape attempts landed him in Nazi Germany’s special prison for problem inmates. Limited edition kit features detailed parts and Douglas Bader figure.
