Yet another outstanding release from Wingnut Wings. Absolutely stunning detail inside and out, the Mercedes D.III engine is a jewel unto itself, and can be displayed by removing the cowl (which is a separate piece just for this purpose). Includes several styles of propeller as used on the Albatros, plus alternate windscreens, photoetched detail parts and a full-color instruction sheet with photos of museum aircraft. Markings are for 5 aircraft: Erich Guerbenz’s “Stropp” of Jasta 46; Lothar Weiland’s aircraft of Seefrontstaffel 1; Hans Joachim Hippel’s aircraft of Jasta 71; von Huoldstein’s aircraft of Jasta 14; and Werner Niethammer’s aircraft of Jasta 13.
