More than 60 years have passed since its first flight, but the Orion is still widely used as a patrol aircraft by the U.S. Navy and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, with ongoing updates. It is also used for non-military purposes such as weather observation and firefighting, and is a best-selling aircraft operated in more than 20 countries.
