Roden brings us their 1/144 Boeing 307 Stratoliner (TWA SA-307B) kit! The Boeing 307 Stratoliner was a large passenger aircraft that first flew in 1938. Its biggest feature was the pressurized cabin that maintained a comfortable environment even at high altitudes. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines had placed an order for this aircraft, but canceled their order after the outbreak of World War II. In 1940, the Stratoliner was delivered to Pan American Airlines and Transworld Airlines. When the U.S. entered World War II in 1941, the Stratoliner was used as a military transport aircraft; after the war, it returned to its passenger aircraft career until 1970.
