Both 43480 and 43484 are both part of Rail Adventures first dive onto British rails, with the company previously only being based out of Germany. Prior to their purchase, the units were owned and operated by Angel Trains and Great Central. Both 43480 and 43484 were outshopped from the painters in Rail Adventure grey on the 19thApril 2021. Both units were both part of a British Rail Initiative, with both units being among a total of 14 to be fitted with buffers on the front, to act as a DVT unit for high speed services on the East Coast Mainline.
