The Super Etendard is a transonic carrier-based attack aircraft developed in France and adopted by the French and Argentine Navy. As an advanced version of the Etendard IV-M, this machine was developed in parallel with the Exocet air-to-ship missile, and was delivered to the French Navy in 1978. From the mid-1980s, modernization renovations such as the addition of the ability to carry ASMP cruise missiles that can be equipped with nuclear warheads and the accompanying updating of electronic equipment began. The Argentine Navy, which adopted 14 of this aircraft, used this machine as the mother machine of the Exocet air-to-ship missile in the Falklands conflict with the United Kingdom, and sank two ships, including the British Navy destroyer Sheffield.
