The A-10 Thunderbolt II is a U.S. military close air support/ground attack aircraft that has been in operation since 1977. Equipped with twin engines, its main feature is its style adopting a straight main wing. A total of 11 hard points are provided on the underside of the main wing and the fuselage, and it has the ability to carry 7,260kg of bombs, rockets, and missiles. In addition, the nose is equipped with the GAU-8/A Avenger autocannon, giving it high attack power. Improvements after its deployment have continued, and the A-10C, which appeared in 2005, has been refurbished with a glass cockpit. The A-10 demonstrated its ability in battle in the Gulf War in 1991; it is also deployed in units in Europe, and a camouflage aircraft called European One is operated according to the region.

This model kit from Platz features parts by Italeri with Japanese-language instructions from Platz. Its powerful form with two engines on its back and its characteristic straight wings is carefully reproduced, down to the panel lines. Some inspection panels can be built opened or closed; a convenient masking sheet for painting the canopy frame is also included. Decals are included for the 706TFS aircraft under the 926TFS (Tactical Fighter Wing) with the European One camouflage, which has been in use since 1978, with two colors of green and one of gray.
