This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.

The A-10 Thunderbolt II is the U.S. military’s close air-support dedicated aircraft and ground attack aircraft which has been in operation since 1977. Equipped with twin engines, its main feature is its straight wing design. A total of 11 hard points are installed on the underside of the main wing and the fuselage, and it has the ability to carry 7,260kg of bombs, rockets, and missiles. Furthermore, the nose is equipped with a GAU-8/A Avenger autocannon for a high offensive ability. Improvements continued after its deployment, and the A-10C, which appeared in 2005, has been modified to have a glass cockpit. The 354th Fighter Squadron, based at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona, is one of the units that operates the A-10C, and has been operating A-10 aircraft since 1979. Known as the Bulldogs, they perform missions such as close air support, air interdiction, forward air control, combat search, and rescue.

This model kit from Platz features parts by Italeri, and the kit comes with Japanese assembly instructions. The aircraft’s shape and panel lines are realistically expressed; some of the inspection panels can be assembled opened or closed. Masking stickers for painting the canopy frame are included too.
