Description
This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit which includes some resin parts.
Hasegawa’s F-16D kit with additional resin parts to convert it to the IDF ‘Brakeet’ (Thunderbolt). This is a special version of the F-16D with modifications to carry the Elisra SPS 3000 jammer and other indigenously produced equipment in the enlarged spine. The resin spine is very sharply cast and fits easily (unlike some of the after-market pieces that have been released). Proper tip rails and pods to house the RAW equipment on either side of the intake are provided. Markings for two units – the 4th Wing 105th Squadron “Scorpion” (see box art) and the 601st Squadron Test & Evaluation Unit. Actual aircraft numbers are open for interpretation as the IDF has been known to change tail numbers on aircraft.
