This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.

The F-15J Eagle played an active role in the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, protecting the skies above Japan for many years. It’s based on the U.S. Air Force’s F-15C, first deployed in 1984, and is equipped with the JASDF’s original equipment. It has its own tactical electronic warfare system, J/TEWS, and its only data link system. It was first deployed in 1982, and still plays a major role in Japan’s air defense. In 2014, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the JASDF, each unit’s aircraft received special paint and appeared at air festivals throughout Japan.

This kit from Platz reproduces the aircraft numbered 943, belonging to the 201st Squadron of the 2nd Air Wing, with magnificent commemorative markings unveiled at the 28th Sappho Airlines Pageant on July 20, 2014.
