This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
Trumpeter, via Monochrome, has re-issued the Kawanishi 4-engined Flying Boat (H6K5-L) as the civil version operated by Japan Air Lines. Kit comes with parts and decals to accurately represent two aircraft, J-BFOZ or J-BGOC. Also, the kit includes fine resin engines, cowls and propellers, although they are not shown in the instructions. However, the box art shows the same style propellers as the new resin items, and even in this scale the new engines will be a big improvement over the plastic parts and are most welcome! Highly recommended for flying boat fans!
