This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.

A limited reissue of the Hyakushiki Shitei III kit with the ground crew figures from the Zero kits. The Hyakushiki was a fast, sleek, twin-engined bird that had perhaps the most aesthetically-pleasing lines of any WWII plane, and performance so good that the Luftwaffe negotiated (unsuccessfully) for the production rights. During the war, even some U.S. pilots were said to have referred to it as “Dinah with the nice linah.” A compact bird, the plane isn’t that much larger than the big Double Wasp-powered U.S. fighters. The kit includes both kinds of props and spinners that were actually used on the Dinah, and features two figures. New colorful markings are included for three aircraft.

The ground crew figures are molded in poses as if they are waving farewell to the pilot as he sets off on his mission, and are wearing various styles of summer uniforms.
