Description

This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.

The Vanguard is a single-seat fighter for export developed and manufactured by the American company Vultee just before World War II. The company designated it as V-48, and the first prototype with a narrow nose like a liquid cooled-engine aircraft aiming to reduce air resistance flew for the first time in September 1939. The version with a normal was called V-48C by Valtee; the Swedish military ordered 144 of this version, to be called J10, but it was exported to Sweden by the Lend-Lease Law enacted in 1941 immediately after the end of production of the order. As a result, the U.S. military deployed about 50 aircraft, designated P-66, to combat training squadrons, and the remaining 100 aircraft were given to Canada via the United Kingdom as lend-lease aircraft under the nickname of Vanguard. This machine was given to the Air Force of the Republic of China after being retired in February 1942, but many of them were lost in accidents during transportation or during training, and only a small number of them were actually received by the National Revolutionary Army. Although the aircraft deployed in actual combat exchanged fire with aircraft of the Japanese Army, most of the aircraft were lost in the air raids of the Japanese Army while they were parked, so they were retired as they were without any significant results.
