This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.

Academy continues its highly detailed H-46 series with this CH-46D. This kit will feature the smaller sponsons and other parts needed to make an accurate D model. You get quite a few options when building this kit, so it will be worth it to sit down before starting and decide just what “look” you want: all doors and hatches can be positioned opened (aside from the pilot’s windows) or closed, machine guns can be fitted and troop seats can be folded up or lowered for use or outright replaced with litters. A set of very colorful decals to model the HC-11 “Gunbearers” helicopter shown on the box top is included, as well as options for three other “eggbeaters”: a SOMS Kaneohe Bay SAR bird, a Point Mugu SAR bird and an “engine gray” bird from HC-8 “Dragon Whales” DET-2 Norfolk.
