This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
Now known as the US-1 (in its Search and Rescue configuration), The Shinmeiwa PS-1 was originally designed with the ASW mission in mind, carrying detection gear and a couple of wing-mounted torpedoes. Its successor is the only seaplane in service with any nation’s military anywhere in the world. This is a good-sized kit even in this scale, with a wingspan of 46cm. Older kit, but it’s buildable and a definite conversation starter.
