The Ga-43 is a single-engine, ten-seat airliner that made its first flight in 1932. It was designed and developed by Fairchild in the United States, but the production plant was acquired by the General Motors-controlled General Aviation before the Ga-43’s first flight. This low-wing monoplane passenger aircraft with a metal structure initially had fixed landing gear, but it was later converted to have retractable landing gear. The ten-seat cabin had an elliptical cross-section and a separate cockpit. Five of this aircraft were built, and it was used by Swissair, LAPE, and Colombia-German Airlines. Founded in 1925, Western Air Express purchased the third of the five aircraft, and operated it on the route between Cheyenne, Wyoming and Albuquerque, New Mexico for several years.
This model kit from Sova-M comes with photo-etched parts, painting mask seals, and decals for one Western Air Express version. Place your order today!
